Assignment: You are a USA fan attending the Slovenia game. Write a short paper detailing any part of the experience. It should be a mini-story; we should get the sense that the paper is about something tangible and compelling.
AVOID I did this I wore that I got on the bus I went to the game I cheered we won it was great.
DO use your new skill in describing, concentrating on a few ideas, exploring them deeply.
DO think about what it would be like to be at the Stadium.
DO look up details of the game on the internet as you are typing. e.g. name of stadium, town, names of players, etc
DO create a believable voice. It doesn't have you be YOU, it just has to be a consistent voice. At the end of the day, this is a paper about YOU more than about the game.
